Objective: Modernize the synthetic turf of the sports complex for improved durability and functionality.

Overview Jean-Eudes College, located in Montreal, needed a new custom synthetic turf for its sports complex. The goal was to install a visually striking turf perfectly suited to a specific space spanning over 150 feet (50 yards) with many contours and cutouts. The previous standard green synthetic turf, installed more than 10 years ago, had been laid in sections perpendicular to its usage. Over time, the edges began to curl, making training less smooth and increasing the risk of injury during exercises like sled pushes. In addition to sled pushes, athletes perform sprints and 10-20 yard dashes while still having enough room to decelerate safely.

What Makes This Project Unique The new custom synthetic turf at Jean-Eudes College features:

• Innovative Design: Turf sections were installed parallel to usage, eliminating issues with curling edges and ensuring greater longevity.
• Complete Customization: The colors and logo of the Jean-Eudes Eagles were incorporated into the design, enhancing the school’s visual identity.
• Optimized Space: Every contour and cutout of the space was considered to ensure a perfectly fitted installation.

The Challenge Replacing an existing synthetic surface while addressing the constraints of a specific space with many contours and heavy usage. The challenge also included creating a more durable solution to avoid recurring issues with curling edges.

• Personalized Design: Created a synthetic turf featuring the colors and logo of the Eagles team to reflect the school’s spirit.
• Strategic Installation: Oriented turf sections parallel to usage to maximize durability and minimize wear and tear.
• Precise Adaptation: Every cutout and edge was carefully tailored to fit seamlessly into the available space.

With this new installation, Jean-Eudes College now has a modern, durable, and visually striking sports surface tailored to the needs of its student-athletes.
