Overview La Faculté Athlétique, or La FAC, was founded by two passionate football players who envisioned a unique space designed to fulfill two goals: offering elite athletic training and hosting group classes. This hybrid space is entirely dedicated to functional training, featuring specialized equipment and accessories tailored to the needs of athletes and group sessions.

What Makes This Gym Unique La FAC’s gym stands out for its innovative design and custom equipment:

• Custom Turf: A synthetic turf runs through the center of the gym as well as a 14-foot custom rig, creating a modern and functional aesthetic.
• Specialized Equipment: Each piece, such as the GHD combo, was selected to maximize functional training. The gym also includes custom dumbbells and a 4-tier dumbbell rack with a sliding bottom row for easy access to the heaviest weights.
• Functional Accessories: A variety of accessories, including wallballs, kettlebells, and slam balls, are stored on a custom 4-tier storage rack.

The Challenge Creating a space that combines the demands of elite athletic training with the needs of a welcoming environment for group classes. The layout needed to allow a seamless transition between these two uses while maximizing functionality and available space.

Alpha Fitness’s Contribution Alpha Fitness played a critical role in designing and equipping La FAC:

• Custom Rig: Designed and installed a 14-foot rig with the central turf running through it, optimizing space and providing a robust structure for various exercises.
• Tailored Equipment: Provided custom dumbbells, an innovative dumbbell rack with a sliding tray, and a custom storage rack for functional accessories.
• Functional Accessories: Supplied wallballs, kettlebells, slam balls, and other essential tools for versatile training.
• Space Planning: Collaborated with the founders to ensure the layout met the dual-purpose requirements of the gym.

Thanks to this setup, La FAC now offers a state-of-the-art fitness space that supports elite athletes and group class enthusiasts alike.
